Örenäs slott - Hotel

Örenäs Slott, wonderfully situated by the sea, offers modern accommodation in a variety of different settings – in the palatial main building, in the original Manor House and in the hotel. The attractively furnished rooms are perfect for rest and relaxation and are all superbly appointed with WC, shower, hair dryer, trouser press, safety box, minibar, TV, telephone and wireless Internet access. There are 114 rooms and 226 beds. The hotel also has a sauna, a solarium and a range of recreation facilities including, in the summer season, a wonderful outdoor swimming pool.

Special occasions
Örenäs Slott has a long tradition and experience of organising weddings, parties and different types of dinners. On the second floor of the main building, the banqueting rooms, lounges and library are very popular and often used for special occasions.

History
Örenäs Slott was built by the “sugar king” Carl Tranchell in 1914–18 and it stands in the former grounds of Maryhill Manor, just above the fishing village of Ålabodarna. The manor was owned by Count Fredrik Posse and his family and some parts of the buildings still remain, though now converted into hotel rooms.

The park
The park, with its wide open spaces, exotic trees and beautiful flower beds, is the perfect place for recreation. The park is also a suitable venue for weddings, outdoor exhibitions, Midsummer festivities and relaxing walks.

The eating experience at Örenäs Castle is characterized by a combination of fresh ideas, delightful aromas and tempting tastes – and the best of local cuisine. All your meals in the main restaurant can be taken while enjoying the wonderful views of the Öresund Sound and the island

of Ven. In the summer, the sun-warmed terrace is our barbecue venue and also the perfect place to mingle with a drink or a refreshing glass of chilled wine.
